Two tennis umpires were banned last year, one for life, after being involved in a betting scam, the sport鈥檚 governing body the International Tennis Federation said yesterday. The editor of the Independent Amol Rajan has ruled that the newspaper will now be using 鈥楤ombay鈥� and not 鈥楳umbai鈥� to describe the Indian city. The name Mumbai has been controversial in India ever since Bombay was renamed by Hindu nationalists in 1995.
