Two tennis umpires were banned last year, one for life, after being involved in a betting scam, the sport鈥檚 governing body the International Tennis Federation said yesterday. Dr Ben Van Rompuy is professor of Competition Policy and Media Regulation and Richard Ings is a former senior executive responsible for umpires at the Association of Tennis Professionals.

The editor of the Independent Amol Rajan has ruled that the newspaper will now be using 鈥楤ombay鈥 and not 鈥楳umbai鈥 to describe the Indian city. The name Mumbai has been controversial in India ever since Bombay was renamed by Hindu nationalists in 1995. Speaking live on the programme is Amol Rajan and Dr Prashant Kidambi, who was born and raised in Mumbai and is author of a book about the city: The Making of an Indian Metropolis.
