Thompson Family
James works around the clock to provide for his family, and he believes emigrating to Australia could give him more time at home. Can wife Roisin be persuaded?
Working round the clock means James Thompson has hardly any quality time with his wife and children, and it is a situation he feels can't carry on for much longer. Seven years ago, he spotted an advertisement for skilled workers in Australia, and ever since he has been convinced the country could offer his family a better life.
Close ties at home, however, mean for wife Roisin a move to the other side of the world would be anything but easy.
A trial week spent sampling the reality of life down under soon sees Roisin's opposition to emigrating waiver. But when the financial and emotional impact of a move becomes clear, will James be forced to stick with the life he has been hoping to leave behind?
