More about the programme

A public health campaign delivering safer pregnancy messages is to be launched in the New Year as part of a wider drive to cut the rates of stillbirths.

Wales currently has one of the highest rates in Europe - with around one in 200 babies being stillborn. Only France, Latvia and Romania have a higher incidence.

But over the last year a National Stillbirth Working Group has been developing strategies to reduce that rate.

That work is now beginning to bear fruit - as Kayley Thomas has been finding out.
