In September, the NHS slipped further against its target to see, treat or discharge 95% of patients in A and E within four hours. The President of the European Council says there's 'a race against time' to save the Schengen agreement - which allows free movement across Europe - in the face of the migrant crisis. New guidance recommends GPs in England should be more prepared to offer women hormone replacement therapy as part of treatment options for the menopause.
