Sam Burgess - Union's Loss or League's gain?

Sam Burgess has left Bath and Rugby Union - he's going back to Australia, back to Rugby League.... Clive Woodward say's it's "an all time low for English rugby". Can you cross between the two as easily as we assume? Are the cultures too different, different fans, different players.... is it just a different crowd..

Is he a quitter or a scapegoat? Has he failed at Union's level or does it show the strength, the passion of league... Is there a bit of snobbery involved here? Are you sad to see him go or delighted to have him back?
