Little Big Town in Session

Bob hosts a session from Nashville vocal group Little Big Town.

Nashville superstars Little Big Town are in session, ahead of the UK release of their record breaking US chart topper "Girl Crush"

The song spent 13 weeks at the top of Billboard's country songs chart, setting a new record as the longest run by a group (of at least three members) in the chart's history, an accolade previously held by the Browns for "The Three Bells" back in 1959.

"Girl Crush" is the top country download on the Nielsen SoundScan digital country songs chart, which makes it the most downloaded country song in 2015, already moving nearly 1 million units.

That many "crushes" proves that when a song is that good, there's no stopping it.

Part of the reason is because "Girl Crush" is about a topic everyone can identify with.

"Everybody I know - men and women - have been rejected," LBT's Kimberly Schlapman told CMT Hot 20 Countdown. "If you listen to the words of the song, that's what that's about. ... Somebody has chosen someone else over me, over all of us, and that's the sentiment is universal."

"Liz Rose, Hillary Lindsey and Lori McKenna wrote this song and the moment that we heard it, done deal," Karen Fairchild "Like, please let us cut this song!

"And we knew that it would be edgy. ... I don't know what the right word is. It doesn't feel that way to me singing the story. It just feels like I'm telling a story about a girl that is looking at the other girl that her man left for and saying, 'What does she have that I don't have?'".
