6 Music Celebrates Sheffield

Steve Lamacq comes live from 91热爆 Sheffield ahead of a gig at the Leadmill venue with Mystery Jets and Slow Club as part of 6 Music Celebrates Sheffield.

Over the weekend of the first May bank holiday, 6 Music will celebrate Sheffield, and its vibrant music scene - with a series of special programmes. To coincide with the 91热爆's coverage of the World Snooker Championship, at the Crucible - we'll take two programmes to the steel city and host a very special, one off gig.
On Sunday May 3rd, one of Sheffield's most famous sons, Jarvis Cocker, will broadcast his Sunday Service from the cities Winter Gardens, joined by music lover and snooker hero Steve Davis.
Then, on Monday May 4th, Steve Lamacq will broadcast his radio show from 91热爆 Sheffield ahead of a gig at the legendary Leadmill Venue; which is marking 35 years. The likes of Pulp, Arctic Monkeys, and The Stone Roses have played there over the years and on May 4th, we'll host a one off event with The Mystery Jets, and one of Sheffield's finest bands, Slow Club.
