Simon Callaghan, Tippett Quartet

Presented by Sean Rafferty. With pianist Simon Callaghan playing live in the studio music by Roger Sacheverell Coke, plus a performance by the Tippett Quartet.

Sean Rafferty's drivetime guests include pianist Simon Callaghan, performing live in the studio music by Roger Sacheverell Coke - a 20th century British composer so neglected that he doesn't even have an entry in Wikipedia. Callaghan has recently made a CD of world premiere recordings of Coke's piano music.

Also today, the Tippett Quartet perform live ahead of their upcoming London concert in celebration of the king of crooners, Frank Sinatra.
