Including highlights of her 2013 concert recorded at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, Pakistani singer Abida has been credited with having the power to induce hysteria in her audience.
Named as an inspiration for artists as diverse as Atif Aslam and Bjork, Abida specialises in Sufiyana Kalaam, a musical genre which is almost exclusively practicised by male singers.
In this programme Abida performs songs like 'Mast Qalandar', 'Dum Dum Ali' and 'Khuda Dekhe' and talks to Asian Network presenter Saima Ajram about her life and career.
