Dougie is in the Borders to take a walk along the stunning Berwickshire coastal path. The trail runs from Berwick in the South to Cockburnspath in the North and has been rebranded to reflect the coastline’s smuggling history. Along the way he pops in past Gunsgreen House in Eyemouth – home to one of the area’s most prolific smugglers.

In Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink Nick examines the campaign to encourage the consumption of food that is grown and reared locally.  He visits a number of producers in the Nairn area gathering ingredients for a rich, hearty and totally-local stew that he will cook later in the Landward Food Van.

To mark the 150th anniversary of the start of the world famous Perth Bull Sales, Sarah is at Stirling Mart (the new home of the sales) to learn more about the annual event that has attracted buyers from across the globe and smashed world record livestock prices.

Euan is in rural Aberdeenshire to meet the community that is taking control of its energy needs. The Energising Insch project will use a range of renewable energy technologies to supply electricity and heat to homes and businesses throughout Insch. The project will sell surplus electricity to the National grid and use the funds to build a new community hospital.

The food van is in the centre of Inverness where Nick and Dougie are using locally sourced ingredients to create a rich beef stew.
