Married for over 20 years, Rennie writes the lyrics while Brett writes the music and it's a match made in heaven. The Americana indie-folk duo formed in Chicago and are now based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

In 2014 Andrew Bird released, Things Are Really Great Here, Sort Of, an entire record of Handsome Family songs.
