Maximo Park return to their home city to showcase material from over a decade of making music. The band first came to attention with 2005's Mercury Prize nominated debut album A Certain Trigger, featuring Apply Some Pressure, Graffiti and The Coast Is Always Changing. Their most recent effort, Too Much Information, landed in 2014, providing more gems such as Leave This Island and Brain Cells.
Festival favourites The Maccabees have moved from playing Hall 2 to The Concourse at the Sage Gateshead. The London-based indie rock band are about to release their fourth album, after their third was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.
Tom Ravenscroft spins discs of rarity, bringing his own unique blend of passion and knowledge to Friday evenings at 7.00pm on 91热爆 Radio 6 Music.
