British Black Gospel Music (Part 2)
Connie Fisher meets Steve Alexander Smith, Author, ‘British Black Gospel’ who explains how groups like the London Community Gospel Choir contributed to a big change in the public popularity of gospel music.

Karen Gibson, ‘Choir Director’ describes how US gospel acts started appearing in the UK demonstrating a standard of musicianship and vocal harmonies that inspired her own generation.  Her group - Kingdom Choir later went on to big successes in the 1990s as British Black Gospel’s presence on radio and TV increased. But it didn't end there and next week Connie discovers how the last 15 years have seen British Black Gospel continue to transform.

Abide With Me
Aled Jones travels to Brixham in South Devon to discover the origins of the hymn , ahead of the next round of the FA Cup.
