Tonight Marc is joined by Geordie folk singer Richard Dawson for a live session in the midst of his UK tour.

Having worked in record shops for 10 years prior to his music career, it's no surprise that his influences range from Kenyan artist Henry Makobi to folk musician Mike Waterson. Dawson has since collaborated with harpist Rhodri Davies and created an entire album with the Welsh musician.

Described as England's answer to Captain Beefheart, Dawson brings his distinct sounds to the 6 Music studio.
