Josie d'Arby meets volunteers at The Real Junk Food Cafe project in Leeds as they rescue food that would otherwise have been destined for the bin. It's a project that aims to tackle food waste and food poverty, and traders at Kirkgate Market are more than happy to help.聽 Josie visits a cafe set in All Hallow's church in Leeds where the food is cooked up into nutritious meals. And she talks with customers and volunteers to find out just how well the food, and the project, is going down!
World Record Organist
Last week we met John Richards who鈥檚 attempting to play every cathedral organ in the UK. Serious illness put a stop to his quest, but now after a gap of 10 years, he鈥檚 back in business and ready to tackle cathedral number 75 of 94 over in Manchester.
Church Bingo
Claire McCollum travels to Heaton in Newcastle where the Elim Pentecostal Church was growing too large for their church building and the Heaton Bingo and Social Club needed smaller premises. So they agreed a swap. Pastor Simon Lawton tells Claire about his vision for the church's vast new home.
Holocaust Memorial Day
This Tuesday marks the 70th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust. Interviews with Gena Turgel (who talks about surviving the Gas Chamber) and Maurice Ostro (whose Father was saved by Christians during the Holocaust).
