Rotherham council is branded 'not fit for purpose', after failing to protect hundreds of children from sexual abuse.

Rotherham council is found "not fit for purpose" and stripped of its powers after its failure to protect hundreds of children from sexual abuse. It comes on the same day that Theresa May announces increased powers for the inquiry into historical child abuse, as well as appointing a new chair. Plus, a University has set up a sleep centre to offer tired students a chance to get 40 winks between lectures. The University of East Anglia say the "nap nook" complete with beanbags and blackout blinds aims to support students who are sleep deprived.
