Jones Family
Series in which families try out life overseas. A dad is obsessed with moving his family to New Zealand - even though he has never been.
Carl Jones believes New Zealand could offer a better life for his family. He has spent hundreds of hours online researching the opportunities the country could offer and has become convinced his family should move there for good.
Wife Jenna, however, doesn't share her husband's dream. The furthest she's been from home is France. Moving her family to the other side of the world seems a step too far when it would mean breaking the close bond she has with her mother.
During a trial week in Auckland, Jenna begins to see some potential in a life down under. But it soon becomes clear the reality of New Zealand life doesn't always match Carl's research.

Jones family update
As of January 2015, the Jones family is in the UK. On their return from their trial week in New Zealand, Jenna was unfortunately made redundant. She's since started a new career as a teaching assistant, which she's enjoying.
Having her Mum around to help with child care during this time has been a great help for the family, and reminded Jenna of just how much they'd be giving up by emigrating. For this reason the family are, for the time being, planning to stay in the UK.
Carl is still hoping his family will make the move down under at some point in the future.
