Donald Morrison looks back at the impact the sea had on the Gaelic community during the 1970s. This was a period of great change for the River Clyde and journalist Martin MacDonald spends time on the river with the 'Skye Navy'. He also travels to Tiree on MacBrayne's cargo boat, the Lochcarron, on her last voyage to the island. Martin also reports from Mallaig, one of the last herring ports on the west coast which was struggling with transport links.
