Eileen tries to reassure an anxious Liz that Malcolm will be safe in Ellie's hands for the duration of Liz's trip. Alex invites Kelly-Marie to dinner to discuss their future.
Liz is anxious about her upcoming trip because it means leaving Malcolm in the hands of his new carer for a few days. Eileen assures Liz all will be well, but she too has reservations about the carer's unorthodox methods. Can Ellie prove herself and silence her doubters? Between Malcolm's bad mood and her persistent ex-boyfriend, it ain't gonna be easy.
Meanwhile, Alex invites Kelly-Marie to dinner to discuss their future, but his plans are scuppered when Callum makes an ill-timed discovery. And the grand opening of Scarlett and Jimmy's new venture causes ructions in the Mullen family.
