The Vaselines

The Vaselines join Marc for another live session, playing tunes from their current and third album, V for Vaselines.

The Vaselines join us for another live as you like session. They'll be playing tunes off current and third album V For Vaselines. Joined on drums by Francis Macdonald from Teenage Fanclub fame.

The band formed in Glasgow in 1987. The debut album Dum Dum was released on the legendary Scottish label 53rd & 3rd in June 1989. The band broke up the same week as the album was released, but subsequent patronage by Kurt Cobain (Nirvana covered 3 Vaselines tracks), saw the bands early singles compiled by Sub Pop in 1992.
