A Spaceman Came Travelling
Johnnie Walker hears 70s memories from Chris de Burgh, who released Christmas song A Spaceman Came Travelling in 1975.
Johnnie Walker celebrates the decade of Happy Xmas (War Is Over), I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday and Lonely This Christmas.
This week Chris de Burgh remembers the decade in which he recorded his own Christmas song, A Spaceman Came Travelling. Released in 1975, it failed to chart but achieved greater fame on being reissued in the eighties and is now an established part of every festive season. On the show Chris remembers the single and its part in Christmas history, as well as what the seventies mean to him today.
Also on the show, Johnnie will revisit a moment from the decade courtesy of the 91热爆 archive and another classic seven-inch single will be added into Johnnie's Jukebox.
