Episode 10
Documentary following life on the English Channel. A team of four ex-military veterans are hoping to be the first all-amputee team to swim the channel.
Swimming the English Channel from England to France is one of the toughest mental and physical challenges there is - more people have climbed Everest than have succeeded in swimming across it. But a team of four ex-military veterans are hoping to conquer its waters and create a new world record in the process. Each of them has lost a leg. If they succeed, they will be the first all-amputee team to complete the challenge.
For the crew on board one of the UK Border Force's cutter boats, the challenge is to police the channel's waters keeping a sharp eye out for signs of smuggling and trafficking. When they spot a yacht acting erratically, they decide to get on board to have a closer look.
And it's just another day in the office for the technicians who maintain the vast offshore windfarms that help to generate green power for the UK.
