Waiting to switch: A couple who started changing energy provider two years ago are paid compensation by nPower. In January energy companies will be obliged to process switches within 17 days.
It has been the year of the Supermarket Price War, but how much is it saving us? One report suggests it could be as little as 拢2 per month.

At tourist locations across Britain and the world, the rattle and rumble of wheeled suitcases has become part of the soundtrack. But in one of Europe's most alluring locations, could that be about to change? Media reports have suggested that the authorities in Venice are so worried about the noise and damage from millions of tiny wheels that are considering banning them. How bad is the problem, and how likely is a ban? Simon Calder packs his wheely suitcase and sets off for the city known as La Serenissima.
