Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, but a long-term resident of Brooklyn, New York, Dawn has worked with artists including Ray Lamontagne, Feist, Andrew Bird, Jose Gonzalez and Suzanne Vega and her songs have featured in films & TV shows including Bored to Death, Skins, Gossip Girl & United States of Tara.
Dawn has also worked as a producer and engineer at Stratosphere Sound in NYC and at Philip Glass's personal studio, plays glockenspiel with New York City American roots music band Hem, is a member of all-girl trio the Bandana Splits and is writing her first musical, based on the memoir of Tori Murden McClure, who was the first woman to row solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
Currently touring the UK, Dawn Landes returns to Marc's show with songs from her recently released 5th album, the critically acclaimed Bluebird. Described by one critic as 'deceptively simple music that packs a real punch', the album is a deeply personal and emotional journey.
