Lord Freud has apologised unreservedly, but stopped short of resigning, after suggesting that some disabled people should be paid less than the minimum wage.

The Welfare Minister, Lord Freud, is under pressure to resign, after he suggested that some disabled workers were not "worth" the minimum wage. He made the comments at a fringe event at the recent Conservative party conference.

New figures collected by 5 live show an increase in the number of suspects on police bail in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. And we hear from a bird expert who has been following a killer seagull preying on pigeons in Hyde Park.
