It's a bumper Proms special this afternoon. Guests include British conductor Daniel Harding, former protege of Sir Simon Rattle and now a distinguished maestro in his own right. He talks to Sean live from the Royal Albert Hall immediately after his rehearsal for tonight's Prom with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, of which he is Music Director. They will be performing Mahler's Symphony No. 2 in C minor.
Pianist Danny Driver will be performing live in the studio ahead of his Prom with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on Monday 1st September, performing Walton's early Sinfonia concertante.
And Sean talks to soprano Christine Goerke, who takes on the titular role in Strauss' Elektra at the Proms this Sunday 31st August, performing alongside the likes of Dame Felicity Palmer, Johan Reuter and the 91热爆 singers.
