Simon Mayo continues the R2 Arts Show Summer Season by looking at the art of writing.
He is joined by authors Kate Mosse and Patrick Ness to discuss their habits and quirks. He will explore how to get published in this day and age and how the internet has changed the way people read and write, talking to the person who discovered Philip Pullman and Jacqueline Wilson, publisher David Fickling.
Author, screenwriter and playwright, Anthony Horowitz will also join Simon to explain how he writes for different mediums and why he uses a different pen for different genres.
Sam Sweeney of Bellowhead will be performing live in the studio and talking about his new tour - Sam Sweeney's Fiddle: Made In The Great War and Simon will also take a look at the latest film releases and review some of the latest theatrical experiences around the UK.
Plus, Boyd Hilton will be looking at how multichannel TV stations are changing out viewing habits and what it means for the future of the TV and film industry.

Writer/director John Michael McDonagh follows Irish black comedy The Guard with Calvary, another existential crime drama starring Brendan Gleason that mixes laughter with tears and Catholic rage with religious insight. Gleason plays Father James, a troubled priest battling to sort out his own complex issues as well as those of his eccentric flock.
