An tig an latha far nach bidh feum air leabhraichean agus peansailean anns na sgoiltean? Could the classroom of the future be one in which there is no paper and no pencils?

'S an latha a th' ann, tha an dòigh mar a thathas a' teagasg chloinne air atharrachadh 's a chuid as motha de sgoiltean a' cleachdadh notebooks air a no i-Pads anns na clasaichean aca. Tha grunnan sgoiltean ann an Dùn Èideann air i-Pads a thoirt dha na sgoilearan airson an cleachdadh 's a chlas agus aig an taigh, ach de bhuaidh a th' aig a seo air an iarrtas airson leabhraichean agus air làimh-sgrìobhaidh? An tig an latha far nach bidh feum air leabhraichean agus peansailean? Cluinnidh sinn beachd tidsearan agus sgoilear cuideachd air an t-slighe air adhart.
Tha iomadh farpais spòrs a-nise air taic airgid fhaighinn bhon na companaidhean a tha reic biadh no deoch mi-fhallain, a bheil sin freagarrach no a bheil e a' toirt droch bhuaidh air clann an latha an-diugh? Cluinnidh sinn bheachd thriùir air a' chùis.
Cuideachd, bidh Dòmhnall MacSuain air ais leis na còig rudan air nach robh fios aige mun àm seo an t-seachdain 'sa chaidh.

Litir chun an t-Saighdeir Gun Ainm

Mo bhràthair chòir,

Tha mi na mo shuidhe air beulaibh an taighe, feasgar ciùin àlainn an-seo a-nochd; gach nì mun cuairt cho gorm ’s cho eireachdail. Tha am buntàta a chur mi fhìn agus tu fhèin as t-Earrach a’ fàs a-nis aig astar. Bha latha trang againn an-diugh; chaidh a’ chairt air an each gu math tràth – gach fàd is caoran mònach a-nise anns an iodhlainn. Cha do rinn mi ach dìreach tòiseachadh air a’ chruach ge-tà. Cha robh a’ tarraing na mònach ach mi-fhìn ’s do mhàthair agus Màiri Iseabail. Thàinig Seonaidh greiseag còmhla rinn, ach cha do sheas cruachan a’ bhodaich ri mòran lùbadh agus theich e dhachaigh gu math luath. Tha sinn uile gad ionndrainn… fiù ’s Ealasaid!

Feuch gun toir thu an aire ort fhèin agus dèan cabhag air ais gus nach bi agam ris a’ bhuntàta a’ thogail leam fhìn – ’s iad a bhios math le ceathramh de ghuga air an truinnsear rin taobh agus sinne ri do thaobh fhèin aig a’ bhòrd a-rithist.

Le gràdh,

Raonaid xxx

P.S. Bha còig piseagan aig Ealasaid an-raoir!

My dear brother,

I am sitting at the front of the house; it’s a beautiful evening here; everything is so green and gorgeous. The potatoes you and I planted in the Spring are growing at quite a rate. We had a busy day today; the cart went on the horse very early – all the peats are in the yard now. I’ve only just started the peat stack though. There was only myself, your mother and Mary Isabel to take the peats back. Seonaidh came up for a while, but his hip didn’t stand up to all the bending down, and he left for home pretty quickly. We’re all missing you… even Elizabeth!

Make sure you look after yourself and come home as quickly as you can so I don’t have to lift the potatoes on my own – won’t they be good with a quarter gannet beside them on the plate and you beside us at the table once more.

With love,

Rachel

P.S Elizabeth had five kittens last night!
