Jock Gallagher, author, broadcaster and founder of the Press Freedom Network joins Sally in the first hour to talk about his life, work, and his new book, 'Scotland's Global Empire: A Chronicle of Great Scots'.
Broadcaster and former hostage John McCarthy reviews The Railway Man, the cinematic portrayal of prisoner-of-war Eric Lomax, and John discusses the parallels with his own experience of being held captive.
We visit The Well, a drop in advice and support centre which serves the needs of the multi-cultural communities of South East Glasgow.
And we look at the challenges of living in a multi-cultural society. Farkhanda Chaudhry who works in the areas of Equality and Diversity, Journalist Harry Reid, and Rev Ian Galloway, Minister of Gorbals Parish Church, discuss the best ways forward when different values, customs and cultures clash.
