Kate Woolveridge

Kate Woolveridge is a Welsh mezzo soprano.听 In recent years she has established the Forget Me Not Chorus - a choir set up for those suffering with dementia and their carers and family.听 Through the medium of music the choir members benefit greatly from socialising, rehearsing and performing.听 Such is the impact of the choir, Kate was recognised recently for her work, and given the honourable title of 鈥淚nspirational Woman of the Year鈥.听 Through the singing of old choruses and gospel songs, Kate witnesses the power that music has to move and stir people. 听

Jackie & George Askey & Lynne Davies

George, Jackie and Lynne are regular attendees of the Forget Me Not Chorus, and often sing in concerts arranged by the choir.听 George Askey was diagnosed with听dementia six years ago, and has benefited greatly from attending the weekly rehearsals with his wife, Jackie.听 Lynne is George鈥檚 daughter, and believes that her faith has been strengthened by seeing the love demonstrated within the choir.

David Geoffrey Thomas

David studied music at University College, Cardiff, winning prizes for both organ playing and conducting.听 He has presented music programmes for both the 91热爆 and independent radio.听 He is currently Parish Organist at llandaff Cathedral, and in the past has conducted at Worcester, Exeter, Sailsbury and St Paul鈥檚 Cathedral.

Stephen Hamnett

Stephen Hamnett is a choir member with Only Men Aloud.听 Over the years he has travelled the world singing with the choir and has starred on many illustrious stages.听 His day to day job is as a gardener in Llandaff, and he sees his love of music, faith and love of gardening combine on a daily basis.听 After the death of his father, Stephen admits that having a faith gives him strength and assurance to face all of life鈥檚 challenges.

Toby Faletau

Toby or 鈥楾alupe鈥 Faletau is a Welsh rugby forward, and plays in the number eight position for both club; Newport Gwent Dragons and country.听 Born and brought up in Tonga, Toby and the family moved to Wales when he was young, and were welcomed by the Welsh community.听 A star of the current Six Nations rugby tournament, Toby has made a mark as a player internationally.听 His faith plays a key part in his rugby, and regularly prays before and after matches.
