In an energy special David Whiteley finds out how to cut household energy bills. Armed with a heat-sensitive camera, he discovers just how much heat our homes are losing. One of the scientists who helped pioneer energy efficient homes in Milton Keynes explains how technology has changed over 30 years. Plus, David visits one of the most energy efficient houses in the country in Essex, and finds out how it's possible to heat a 3-bedroom home for just 拢120 a year.

From a mansion in Essex to a fish and chip shop, Inside Out goes on the road with the energy detectives, tracking down the thieves who steal thousands of pounds worth of electricity and gas, with honest consumers footing the bill.
