Costa Concordia
In January 2012, at about quarter to ten, the cruise ship, Costa Concordia hit rocks when she went off course in the Mediterranean Sea, off the west coast of Italy. There were more than 4,000 thousand people from all over the world on board and 32 people lost their lives in the disaster. Anne Lundon is in Italy where the accident happened to find out exactly what effect this has had on the Island of Giglio, especially on the economy.

Female genital mutilation – it would appear that this has been carried out on more than 100 million girls in 29 countries all over the world – but why? In addition to the physical difficulties that can occur, it also has a lasting effect on the girls' minds. A doctor in Spain is performing surgery on women who have been genitally mutilated and Anne Lundon is in Barcelona to find out more. With any surgery, there are burdens and concerns. This is especially true for this type of surgery which deals with something so sensitive – Anne meets someone who is undergoing surgery to find out how it goes.
