Katja Hall, Chief Policy Director of the Confederation of British Industry
Katja Hall is Chief Policy Director of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), with overall responsibility for the CBI's policy work.
听
Katja was previously Director of Employment at the CBI. During this time she led the CBI's campaigns to improve gender diversity on UK corporate boards, modernising strike laws and reforming public sector pensions.
听
She was appointed Chief Policy Director in February 2011 and is responsible for the development of CBI policy, business planning and representing the CBI to government and in media.
听
Katja is a member of the CBI's executive committee and a board member of the Institute of Employment Studies.
Nick Grey, Founder and Managing Director of Gtech
Nick Grey is the founder and Managing Director of Gtech, who specialise in cordless vacuum cleaners and gardening equipment.
听
Nick started working for Vax in November 1989 and, over 12 years, worked up from a Laboratory Technician to managing New Product and Technical Departments.
听
In 2001, Nick left Vax to found Gtech in his home office. Today, Gtech has a 30-strong team and has sold 22 million products in 30 countries.
Carl Waldekranz, Co-founder and Chief Executive of Tictail
Carl Waldekranz is the co-founder and Chief Executive of Tictail, an e-commerce platform that allows individuals and retailers to sell online.
听
Carl co-founded Tictail with Kaj Drobin, Birk Nilson, and Siavash Ghorbani in Stockholm in May 2011, with the e-commerce platform launch in May 2012.
听
Tictail aims to provide retailers with the tools necessary to create a virtual store.
听
Tictail has seen over 24,000 online stores created across Northern Europe in its first year, including 6,000 in the UK.
