Protecting the planet 1
Today's programme focuses on the environment and considers how we can all play a part in helping the planet by getting involved in local schemes.
Gemma Hunt and a group of children visit Rainforest Life at London Zoo to find out about the importance of biodiversity and how it affects all our lives. In the first episode of a two-part story, a local chocolate manufacturer gives a talk to the children in Jo and Sam鈥檚 class on how chocolate is made. They begin to understand the importance of biodiversity, when they learn that there would be no chocolate without the flies which pollinate the cocoa plants.
