Is today's nuclear deal a good deal for Britain?

The government's given the go-ahead to build the UK's first nuclear power plant for a generation -- built and run by the French firm EDF, backed by Chinese investors. The Energy Secretary's told me earlier it's vital to keep the country's lights on, will help re-build our nuclear industry - and insists it IS value for money.

Critics say bills will have to go up to pay for the deal, which is guaranteeing EDF double the market price for the electricity it produces.

So, is this a good deal for Britain?
