Anoushka Shankar
The sitar player and composer Anoushka Shankar is one of the leading figures in World Music today. Deeply rooted in Indian classical music which she studied under her father and guru, the late Ravi Shankar, Anoushka has branched out to explore other styles of music including flamenco, jazz, electronica and western classical music which all influence her today. The results are evident in her latest album 鈥淭races of You鈥 which is released听7th October,听produced by Nitan Sawhney. The title track from that album which features听vocals from her half sister, Norah Jones, is also being released as a single.
