Heather Small鈥檚 distinctive voice helped the band M People shoot to fame in the 1990s with hits like 鈥淢oving on Up鈥 鈥淪earch for the Hero鈥 and 鈥淥ne Night in Heaven鈥.聽 With聽their 1993 album 鈥淓legant Slumming鈥 they picked up a Brit Award and a Mercury Prize. Now聽M People are back on the road to celebrate with their 20th Anniversary Greatest Hits Tour.聽Heather talks to Clare about her career with M People, growing up in London as the daughter of Caribbean parents,聽and the importance of聽faith in her life.

British double leg amputee and Paralympic Gold medallist, Richard Whitehead, is running a marathon a day this summer from John O'Groats to Land's End, to raise money for charity.聽The run started on August 13th and finishes tomorrow (September 23rd) 鈥 by which time Richard will have covered a staggering 977 miles (1572km)

Rev'd Ruth Scott

Ruth trained as a nurse and midwife, and worked as a counsellor before being ordained priest in the Church of England in 1994, one of the first women to do so. She has a first class honours degree in theology and a masters, but is also trained in mime and physical theatre. Over recent years she has become increasingly involved in interfaith dialogue, as well as regular broadcasting work with the 91热爆.
She also brings our Moment of Reflection.
