Trade secrets tip of the day
It is important to investigate what鈥檚 likely to turn a profit.聽 You might be tempted by a ship鈥檚 wheel, for example.聽 But every ship had more than one and the wheel tended to be saved when the ship was broken up. This makes a ship鈥檚 wheel less rare than you might think.
As in any antiques field, buy the very best examples of maritime collectables that you can afford. Buying one superb item is much better than buying several lower quality items.聽 And that item is more likely to hold its value if you come to sell it on later.
