The way schools teach sex education is out of date and guidelines should be rewritten so that porn is discussed in classrooms - according to Claire Perry, David Cameron's adviser on children's issues.

It comes after a summer when porn has never been far from the headlines. Supermarkets went head-to-head with lads mags about sexual images on their covers, and the government unveiled plans to block access to porn by default on home internet connections.

The reality is that children have more access to porn than ever before - so should sex education start in the home, or does it have a place in the classroom?
