The man in charge of setting out how much MPs should be paid explains why he thinks they should get a pay rise of six thousand pounds after the next general election.
In an exclusive interview, the head of the independent organisation carrying out the review into politicians pay explains why he thinks the salary of our MPs should rise from just over sixty-six thousand pounds a year to seventy-four thousand pounds a year, after the next election. It's the first time Sir Ian Kennedy, of the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, has outlined his plans. He also wants to launch a consultation on his recommendations, including reforming pensions and expenses.
Also Danny Nightingale, the former SAS soldier found guilty of illegally possessing a pistol and ammunition, says he fears he'll be sent back to prison. Victoria speaks to him and his wife Sally.
