Mark presents his weekly folk and acoustic show, live from Salford Quays. This week, he's joined by the current holders of the 91热爆 Radio 2 Young Folk Award: Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar.

Greg and Ciaran also help Mark open the 2014 Young Folk Award for entries.
The Young Folk Award is Radio 2's annual search for the UK's most talented young performers of folk, roots or acoustic music from any culture. The contest is open to soloists, duos and groups, aged 16-21, and resident in the UK. Details of how to enter will be available at bbc.co.uk/folk from 7pm on Wednesday 10 July 2013. The closing date for entries is Friday 6 September 2013.

A judging panel will select ten acts to proceed to the residential Young Folk Award Weekend, where they will take part in workshops led by Bellowhead's John Spiers and Rachael McShane, and singer-songwriter John Smith.

The Young Folk Award is a well-established boost to young musicians taking their first steps towards a music career. Since taking part 12 months ago, Greg and Ciaran have played live on Radio 2 for Simon Mayo, given a rapturously-received performance at the 2 Day Gala Concert and secured festival bookings around the UK.

Previous entrants and winners include Jim Moray, Jackie Oates, Bella Hardy, Blair Dunlop, Luke Jackson, Tim van Eyken, Megan Henwood, Moore Moss Rutter, Lauren MacColl and Jarlath Henderson.
