A special programme from Loch Lomond National Park with guests Gordon Watson, director of planning and rural development, and outdoor writer Peter Macfarlane.

A special programme from the banks of Loch Lomond. Two guests with an intimate knowledge of the loch and the surrounding area will guide us through the 90 minutes. Gordon Watson is director of planning and rural development at the Loch Lomond National Park. And outdoor writer Peter Macfarlane has been wondering the hills around the loch for 40 years.

Among the stories this week are:

Viking heritage. Local volunteers and trained archaeologists work together to distinguish ancient settlements from 20th Century golf courses around Arrochar.

Cycling an old Military Road from Inversnaid to the shores of Loch Katrine.

A bracing wild swim from Luss to one of the islands in the Loch.

Mark Stephen learns how to Leave No Trace as the American philosophy arrives in the UK.

The school children working to achieve the John Muir Award.

Plus, why the water vole is worth saving.

And making your own sail.
