Tom and the 6 Music listeners devise a playlist focused on The National, who this week announced their new album will be out in May.
Their single Bloodbuzz Ohio came 4th in 6 Music's Greatest Hits at the start of the year, a clear indication of the strength of feeling for the band amongst the 6 Music audience. This came from their 5th album High Violet, which enjoyed much critical acclaim and took the band to a new level of success.
They formed in Cincinnati Ohio in 1999, but are currently based in New York.
