Joe returns to Twickenham to see how Karen Dimmock and Jeremy Wilson have got on with the renovation of their empty home. When we first met the couple they had just bought a rundown three-bed terrace in need of some serious TLC. It was a gamble, but taking on an empty property that needed so much work was the only way they could afford to live in this affluent area, close to their school of choice. But had they bitten off more than they could chew? Eighteen months on, Joe is back to find out how far Karen and Jeremy have got with transforming the property into their dream home.
We also pay another visit to a stately home that was on the brink of collapse in north west Lancashire, and we catch up with empty property officer Dave Carter on his mission to save abandoned homes in Enfield.
