In the feature Headline News, we hear In My Life by The Beatles from their LP Rubber Soul. It was number one on 8th January 1966 when Ken Kesey conducted the first large scale Acid Test at the Fillmore in San Francisco. We also hear the title track of 91Èȱ¬ Before Dark by Neil Diamond. It was number one on 20th May 2008 - the day Hillary Clinton won the Kentucky Democratic Primary as she challenged Barack Obama for the party's nomination as Presidential candidate. In the regular feature The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, tracks are played from LPs by Buck Owens and Joss Stone.
In A Matter Of Life And Death Paul celebrates the birthday of Phil Everly by playing the Everly Brothers' hit Take A Message To Mary. We also hear The Walk by Jimmy McCracklin, who has recently died. It's Not The Same Old Song highlights Only You by The Platters and a different song with the same title by Yazoo.
