Janice takes a trip down the yellow brick road with comic book writer Mark Millar and director George Cathro as they reveal their new documentary Pavilion of Dreams, which follows the staff of Glasgow's Pavilion theatre and the well-known cast of their latest panto, The Wizard of Never Woz, in the weeks leading to opening night. Just as Toto the dog exposes the Great Oz, so George and Mark discover something similar going on in the Pavilion Theatre, as in a surprising twist they find the man pulling the strings behind the curtain to be far more interesting than the stars on stage...

Another man hiding more beneath the surface was Frankie Howerd. Frankie was undoubtedly one of Britain's premier comedy performers on TV and screen, perhaps best known now for his roles in the Carry On films. Andy Humphries joins Janice to talk about his documentary which shares never before seen footage revealing a deeply complicated life, and divulges the vast collections of letters sent to him by stars such as Paul McCartney and Sir Laurence Olivier, showing that there's still much to learn about Frankie, twenty years after his death.
