Double Glazing Guarantee

The Glass and Glazing Federation's (GGF) Code of Practice makes it clear that if you move house, the unexpired period of the guarantee may be transferred to the new owner.听

The Code applies only to GGF member installation companies. 听You can find your nearest member company on the .

The GGF recommends that the new owner, or solicitors acting on that person鈥檚 behalf, contact the installation company an early stage in the buying process. You should be aware that you may be charged to transfer the guarantee and the installer may want to conduct a survey of the windows to check their condition prior to transfer.
