This weekend, Headline News features '76 Trombones' by Robert Preston from the Broadway Cast LP 'The Music Man'. It was number one on 24th March 1958, the day Elvis Presley entered the Army. Plus, you'll hear The Way You Move by Outkast from Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, which was number one on 4th February 2004, the day on which Facebook was launched. In the regular feature The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face; tracks from albums by Luther Vandross and Luciano Pavarotti. It's Not The Same Old Song highlights Woman by Peter & Gordon and a different song with the same title by John Lennon.

Paul celebrates the birth on this date in 1945 of Barbara Harris of The Toys by playing the group's hit A Lover's Concerto. Nobody Does It Better by Carly Simon features as a tribute to the composer and arranger Marvin Hamlisch, who has recently died. And Paul continues his countdown of the Top 100 list of songwriters based on success in the American chart from 1955 - 2005. Our R&B Number Ones are from 1960 - A Woman, A Lover, A Friend by Jackie Wilson - and this week - Tonight (Best You Ever Had) by John Legend. We hear Country number ones from 1950 and now by Hank Snow and Little Big Town. This week's featured past and present Rock number ones are by The White Stripes and Fun.
