Gideon Coe presents an Olympic-themed week of archive highlights picking sessions from the year of four different Games: 1968, 1976, 1980 and 1992.

The first year in the spotlight is 1968, the 19th Olympiad, when the Games were held in Mexico City and two American athletes memorably demonstrated against racial discrimination on the winners' podium.

Mainly though it's an elaborate excuse to play a veritable plethora of great music from that year including rarely aired session material from Pink Floyd, recorded shortly before Syd Barrett left the band. Also in session tonight Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band, Joni Mitchell & Tim Buckley.
