In the second programme of this Living Legends series, we hear from Bollywood icon Saroj Khan, the woman who has had all the leading ladies dancing to her tune for decades.

From an early age, Saroj had a passion for dancing and would stand in front of the mirror designing new movements. In this special, she recalls how her mother believed there was something wrong with her because no one in the family had ever expressed an interest in the arts.

Saroj started her career in Bollywood at the age of 13. Only a year later she was already directing some of the biggest actresses of the time, including Vyjantimala and Nutan.

Saroj is responsible for designing dance numbers like Ek Do Teen from Tezaab, Main Teri Dushman from Nagina, Choli Ke Peeche from Khal Nayak and Dil Mera Muft Ka from Agent Vinod.

She has directed actresses like Meenakshi, Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and Kareena Kapoor. She has also worked her magic on actors like Dharmendra, Anil Kapoor, Govinda and Hrithik Roshan.

In this special, she talks about her childhood, her marriage to her dance master and her initial struggles in the industry. The Bollywood icon also reveals which actors and actresses she thinks are the best 'movers' in the business. Saroj Khan takes us on a journey through her career by sharing some of her favourite songs and dance numbers.
